Against the background of rising raw material costs, Henkel is implementing a price increase for certain product groups within its industrial adhesives range. Increases will vary based on market segment and technology but, on average, will range from 10 to 25%.

The increase is due to ongoing escalation of raw material costs, especially affecting oil and natural gas-based products. Continual spikes in global demand, coupled with capacity constraints in primary chemical, rosin, and resin feed stocks, have further tightened supply, driving raw material prices upward.

The company says price increases will become necessary in the following categories: hotmelts, polyurethane, water-based adhesives and surface treatment products.

Henkel feels compelled to take this step in order maintain product quality and service standards.
