As before, there will be inter-yard competitions, with awards for the apprentice welders placed first and second. The winner and runner-up from each yard will attend the finals at Babcock Marine, Rosyth from 1 to 3 November.
As sponsor, ESAB will supply all the welding machines and consumables for the final.
