Dickies UK Worker Of the Year Competition for 2011 is open for entries.

The nationwide award scheme will again be searching for workers that exemplify what doing a good job is all about.

John Stone, a fire protection officer from Kent was last year's winner and he joins the judging panel for 2011, which will again be chaired by TV presenter Quentin Willson.

The UK's Worker of the Year will have a choice of car or van as part of their prize. There will be holidays for the runners-up, as well as products from the Dickies range of high quality workwear. A new partner for 2011 is Makita and Makita products will form part of some prize packages.

The Worker of the Month ('People's Choice') awards return, with anyone who enters being eligible for a popular vote and a prize for the winner.

The free-to-enter competition is open to any UK worker aged 17 or over. The deadline is 31st August.
