As part of Power Electric Generator's business development strategy and commitment to customer service it has added a new load bank to its fleet. The 2.2mVA Froment MC1C is a combined resistive/inductive unit which enables non-unity load testing.

Without load testing a generator or UPS, users can never be confident that their standby power equipment will work in that crucial moment when it is needed. There are two ways to undertake a load test - a full Mains Failure Simulation affected by throwing off the circuit breakers on the electricity supplies and allowing the system to pick up the operational load, or by attaching Load Banks to the system to simulate it. Clients can have loads tested onsite or at Power Electrics Bristol HQ. This can be undertaken as a 'one off ' or as part of a maintenance plan.

Power Electrics' service sales manager, Leigh Preece, says: "All our engineers are highly skilled and fully conversant with all aspects of diesel power generation. The new load bank is an excellent addition to the fleet and allows us to conduct both automatic and manual test programs."
