completed by FMA Process
Engineering has resulted in
increased brewing capacity
for a UK brewery. Key to the
project was implementation
of a more efficient Cleaning
in Place regime.
FMA was asked to alter the brewhouse cleaning regime to enable greater flexibility and to reduce cleaning times.
Writing all necessary software to control the entire brewhouse, FMA mimicked legacy operations and incorporated existing process software that was controlled by iFix SCADA/PLC. Simulations were carried out before a smooth changeover took place on time and within budget.
The result is sophisticated process control, supported by enhanced recipe management and traceability, and quicker cleans. A further benefit has been the introduction of convenient web-based reporting.
