The FIAT factory in Melfi produces
250,000 cars per year. FLIR thermal
imaging cameras play an important
part in the predictive maintenance
program. Information obtained
during thermal imaging surveys is
used to predict electrical and
mechanical faults so they can be
fixed before breakdowns occur.
RAITECH Industrial Technologies is responsible for industrial maintenance, and its thermography specialist Aldo Alliata has added greater value to his thermographic inspections with FLIR's Meterlink connectivity solution. It consists of a Bluetooth connection between the thermal imaging camera and an Extech EX845 clamp meter.
Measurement data is automatically embedded in the corresponding radiometric thermal image. This functionality, says Alliata, improves the accuracy and speed of the thermal imaging inspections.
