Concerto compressed air management control system launched
25 January 2013
Mattei has launched its Concerto compressed air management control system, which allows simultaneous control of up to 16 compressors.
Mattei has launched its Concerto compressed air management control system, which allows simultaneous control of up to 16 compressors.
It has the capability to control compressors of different types, with varying performance levels and functions, including those already installed in existing systems.
Designed to meet the needs of any compressed air user, Concerto limits idle running time and optimises a compressor to individual requirements by automatically adjusting air production. In some cases this will result in energy savings of over 35 per cent.
Intelligent programming allows the system to automatically calculate the size of the network and display the key energy efficiency parameters while monitoring management costs.
Andy Jones, Mattei's general manager, said: “The Concerto offers a wide range of benefits for the end user, including a reduction in maintenance costs of up to 30 per cent and the extension of compressor life by as much as 50 per cent.
“Operational stops and starts are an inefficient way for compressors to work. The new Concerto has been specially developed to eradicate these problems while providing complete control and highly flexible operation.â€
As well as providing immediate energy savings, the all-in-one management function allows for dryers, filters and condensate treatment accessories to be digitally connected to a system. This provides important data information for energy and plant management personnel, which can be viewed via a web server.
