Carbide cutting tool specialist
Ceratizit is using a Micro-Epsilon
optoCONTROL 2500 laser
displacement sensor to measure the
width and height of cutting discs.
The measurement set-up was designed and developed by Benzing Feinwerktechnik.
The non-contact, laser-based measurement sensor uses an integral, high resolution CCD camera for dimensional measurements. The sensor offers a high sampling rate (2.3kHz) and good repeatability (<3µm) and resolution (<1µm).
OptoCONTROL measures using the 'shadow principle'.
