Michell Instruments, leading manufacturer of dew-point, relative humidity and oxygen analysis solutions, will be showcasing their range of dew-point and moisture-measurement products for compressed air applications at Airtech on stand A20.
Maintaining a low-level of moisture in compressed air systems is vital. As the gas is under pressure, there is a risk of moisture condensing in the system, leading to damage to components or corrosion. In the case of medical or breathing gases, moisture in the system could provide a breeding ground for bacteria and endanger patients' health.
Michell produce a number of instruments designed to monitor dew point. The popular Easidew range is a series of dew-point transmitters for continual on-line monitoring. Capable of measuring dew-points as low as -100°C, the Easidew is available in a number of configurations ranging from a basic transmitter to the DryCheck, which includes flow control, filtration and alarms.
For spot-checks of moisture at any point on a system, Michell's range of portable instruments are designed to make quick and simple measurements. The MDM300 and MDM300 I.S. are designed to be highly efficient. They are able to make repeated measurements quickly, allowing for many more measurements to be made during the day.
Michell will also be featuring their range of relative humidity probes and sensors, designed for measuring higher levels of moisture as part of environmental control systems or in precision manufacturing. Michell's XZR400 and XTP601 Oxygen analyzers enable the control of gas purity and can be used for applications such as detecting leaks in glove boxes as well as monitoring the purity of gas production.
