With the inception of
IO-Link, the latest
technology for
communication at
sensor level, which is
rapidly becoming
widespread, there are
new possibilities for
OEMs and end users
alike. The handy
Memory Plug from
ifm electronic uses IO-Link to store
and transfer parameter settings to
and from IO-Link sensors.
For OEMs it is no longer
necessary to set each individual unit
if the parameters are the same each
time - the Memory Plug will store
the settings and upload them to each
new device
automatically.
End users will also find this useful where sensors may need to be changed due to damage: a back up of the parameters is ready and waiting, saving time and avoiding errors. Writeprotection is available to prevent the loss of saved settings.
