Sewtec Automation has invested
£150,000 in equipment and enhanced
facilities to support its continuing
growth strategy and ISO 9001 and
ISO 14001 accreditations.
This includes the building of a climate-controlled inspection lab with a Faro 3D optical measurement system that checks dimensions and tolerances for every component in Sewtec-designed systems as part of stringent QC procedures.
Assembly space has been increased and restructured to provide a smoother flow of work and to improve safety. These developments follow Sewtec's £0.5m expansion in 2009. The ongoing investment reflects strong demand for Sewtec's special purpose automated equipment in both established industries, such as food, confectionery and tobacco, and developing sectors such as pharmaceutical and medical devices.
