Durapipe's dual contained pipework system, Guardian, has been installed at a new factory for Amstrong World Industries, manufacturer of ceiling and floor products.

ProMinent, an expert in Chem-feed and water treatment, was asked to source a pipework solution for the ceiling tile production process at its Gateshead site.

The Guardian pipework is used to transport chlorine dioxide to waste water that is produced during the ceiling tile manufacturing process.

The pipework carries the chlorine dioxide to the centre of the two settlement tanks where it mixes with the waste water for disinfection.

Armstrong World Industries uses 2000ppm strength chlorine dioxide. A dual contained pipe-in-pipe pipework system was chosen to prevent leakage.ProMinent opted for Durapipe's Guardian system due to its flexibility, ease of installation and corrosion resistant properties that ensure the pipework operates effectively for the lifetime of the system, reducing maintenance costs.
