The Personnel Cleaning Booth from Air Control Industries (ACI) is a quick and effective way to clean all workers' dirty work clothes without exposing them, co-workers or the work environment to elevated dust levels.
Once work clothes become contaminated, they become a constant source of inhalable dust until cleaned. Even taking these dusty clothes home to be cleaned can present a hazard as the person carrying out the washing is potentially exposed to unsafe levels of inhalable dust.
The advantage of the ACI Personnel Cleaning Booth is that a worker, without removing his clothing or his PPE, can simply step into it and within seconds have almost all visible traces of dust removed from his/her clothing and thus eliminating their exposure to the dust hazard.
In other applications, the clothes cleaning booth is an excellent way to maintain the cleanliness within a plant, the area where workers keep their work clothes and canteens/eating areas.
The ACI Cleaning Booth is designed around the JetBlack. It features an extraction unit in the floor to draw removed air-borne materials down through the perforated aluminium floor to a collection vessel. This downward extraction operation helps to avoid blown-off dust and dirt from re-contaminating personnel while de-dusting.
ACI's JetBlack delivers high volume (500ft/sec, 58cfm), low pressure air (2.52PSIG/70In.SWG. The extraction system exhausts up to 1750 m3/hr and the dust collection facility has a capacity of 157 litres - alternatively it can be connected directly into an existing ventilation system.
