Toyota Material Handling is again sponsoring the RTITB Opertor of the Year Competition, emphasising its continued commitment to safety in the workplace, as well as supporting the skills and dedication of forklift truck operators. In addition to sponsoring the national competition, Toyota supplied four new Toyota Traigo48 counter-balance forklift trucks for regional heats held at IMHX. These feature Toyota's System of Active Stability, helping keep the forklift stable, protecting driver, goods and the truck itself. The Traigo48s were used both for driving challenges and visual inspections.

Tony Wallis, sales and marketing manager, says: "Toyota is committed to reducing workplace accidents, and competitions like this go a long way to raising the profile of safe operating practices."
