PASMA covers changes
30 May 2013
Mobile access tower trade association PASMA will be attending the Vertikal Days access event on 26th-27th June, where it will be discussing a number of major changes the prefabricated access industry is currently going through.

First among these changes is a new standard for low level work platforms (podiums or pulpits) which was recently published. PAS 250, a fast-tracked specification sponsored by PASMA, is the final step in the association’s three-point plan to address podium safety, which previously had no minimum standards. PASMA had already created a new low-level training course and a DVD addressing the area.
Other new developments in the mobile tower industry include the introduction of the Pavement Licence, requiring those planning to use towers in a public thoroughfare to apply to do so.
