Pre-winter check

02 June 2013

Every year Hörmann service engineers are called out to carry out urgent maintenance work as the Christmas distribution rush begins – but a pre-winter check programme can customers time and money, preventing breakdowns and helping to maximise thermal efficiency.

This year, Hörmann has already started working with a major retailer to identify maintenance needs across all its sites to ensure all doors and loading bays are operating at maximum efficiency, before the peak delivery season arrives. Planned maintenance will be carried out in the summer months so that heat losses from the retailer's buildings are not a cost factor.

Mark Moore, service manager at Hörmann, says: "A planned visit that creates an action plan for essential and desirable maintenance is less costly than an emergency call out. This is before you count the cost of any delays or even lost deliveries caused by equipment failure.”
