Dust control
24 June 2013
A plug-and -play downdraught bench from AirBench is helping Aylesbury-based Graphite Additive Manufacturing (GAM) contain dust, boosting staff safety and helping to keep the facility clean.

The company 3D prints plastic parts from CAD data, such as consumer goods, car parts, aerospace components and high temperature tooling. To improve the appearance of the parts, they are sanded by hand, a process that creates dust.
GAM uses AirBench FPK129084B models, which are designed for comfortable seated working and which use fine F9 grade final filters to capture even microscopic dusts. Units can be easily relocated and are quiet in operation. The company will shortly be ordering its third AirBench.
