Welding power source
19 August 2013
ESAB is introducing the Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse power source to its top-of-the-range Aristo family of welding equipment.

Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse power source connected to the wire feeders Aristo Feed 3004 or Aristo YardFeed 2000 inclusive accessories forms a complete MIG/MAG package. Aristo Feed 3004 is offered with a choice of the U6 or more sophisticated U82 control panels; the Aristo YardFeed 2000 is available with the U6 control panel. ESAB says that, together, these products can boost productivity, enhance weld quality and save money through reduced energy consumption.
The Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse is a lightweight, multi-process welding power source that can be used for MIG, pulsed MIG, MAG, MMA or TIG welding in applications requiring both high productivity and high quality. The company says that compared with conventional welding equipment, the electronically-controlled Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse weighs 70% less and has a footprint that is 70% smaller. It is therefore easy to transport and easier to use in confined spaces.
To help in achieving high deposition rates, the Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse delivers a welding current of 300A and voltage of 32V at a 100% duty cycle. At a 60% duty cycle these figures rise to 400A and 36V. The machine operates from a 380-440V (±10%), three phase supply at 50/60Hz, and can be powered by a generator when there is no mains supply available.
