Confined space guidance
18 September 2013
Arco has developed a Working in Confined Spaces Expert Guide that provides guidance on confined space hazards and safe systems of work.

As well as educating and offering advice to help businesses keep employees safe, the guide includes recommendations on a range of suitable PPE and workplace safety products, such as breathing apparatus, gas detection monitors and vertical entry products.
To further help businesses, Arco’s mobile confined space unit, a finalist in the BSIF product innovation awards 2013, enables realistic confined space entry training, face fit testing and breathing apparatus training to take place at the customer’s site. Courses delivered from the unit are designed around real life confined space incident scenarios.
Practical training covers actual entry, suitability checks, selection and use of equipment, developing a safe working system, and the initiation of self rescue or full rescue. Arco’s training programmes offer minimum workplace disruption and can be tailored to a customers particular requirements.
