Speedy sweeping

Broadwood says that in just five minutes one man and a SweepEx will do the job of five men hand sweeping for an hour. Simply fitted to a compact or large tractor, skidsteer, loader or forklift, the SweepEx has no moving parts, chains, motors or drive belts, so there’s nothing to go wrong and no down time.

With a JCB or Matrbro handler for example the hitch allows you to use it directly on the back plate, mounting and dismounting it in seconds without leaving the cab. Working in the grain store a SweepEx broom will sweep on vented or slatted floors.

The special bristles, it is claimed, will sweep up to 450 miles before wearing and then it’s just a five minute job to change them. Various brooms are available.

There is the Pro Series 1.52m and 1.83m push broom as well as three sizes in the Mega range or, for bigger jobs, the MegaMax, a heavy-duty broom with side retainers that hold bulk volumes of material in front of the brush, avoiding spillage at the sides.
