Testing role

It is a legal requirement, as stated in the CoSHH Regulations 2005, that the quality of compressed air supplied to a breathing apparatus should be tested, to BS EN/12021, at least every three months.

Regulations put the responsibility on employers to provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and to ensure that it is being properly maintained and in good working order.
