Manufacturing's high flyers recognised

The keynote address was given by Will Butler-Adams, MD of Brompton Bicycle Co, which designs and produces more than 30,000 folding bikes each year from its UK factory.

The winners of the awards categories, judged by senior representatives from Brammer and Buck & Hickman in association with leading trade media editors, were as follows:

• Buck & Hickman - Improved Production Efficiency: Royal Mail
• Buck & Hickman - Reduced Total Acquistion Costs: Npower (Highly commended: Rolls Royce and Siemens)
• Buck & Hickman - Supplier Relationship Award: Siemens (Highly commended: Tata Steel)
