KASTO releases high performance saw

29 October 2013

The KASTOgripspeed is designed to ensure continuous material feed of serial or mass production cuts in solids, tubes and profiles.

With the thin-cut technology, KASTO has an asset in the performance portfolio that ensures the metal processing production facilities in medium and large serial manufacturing have both an economic cutting and reproducible prefabrication.

With the automatic circular saw series KASTOgripspeed C 100, KASTO, the market leader in metal cutting saws, bar stock and sheet metal storage systems as well as material handling has a special status.

The circular saw KASTOgripspeed C 10 is designed to cut materials up to a tensile strength of 1.400 N/mm². The cutting tools are one-way carbide saw blades with a diameter of 360mm and a thickness of 2,5 or 2mm, which reduces scrap/material loss to a minimum.

The automatic high performance circular saws KASTOgripspeed have a cutting range from 15 to 100 mm for rounds or 15 to 80 mm for rectangles. The smallest cut-piece length is 8 mm; the remnant length is only 75 mm. The single material feed length is 500 mm or a multiple feed up to 9.999 mm is possible. The saw drive power is with 11 kW ready for all eventualities, with a feed range from 10 to 4.000 mm/min, infinitely variable.

Same is true for the cutting speed, which is infinitely variable between 17 and 175 m/min. The rapid lift is 10.000 mm/min resulting in short cycle times and short idle times. Moreover, the thin-cut technology has the advantage that also thin or thin-walled, i.e. critical to cut, materials can be cut flexibly and efficiently increasing the application possibilities.

To maximise performance, continuous material infeed and outfeed is needed. KASTO offers a wide program range of (powered) roller conveyors, inclined magazines for bar lengths from 1.600 to 6.000 mm, extensions for infeed roller conveyors and inclined magazines for bar lengths up to 9.000/12.000 mm, as an alternative to inclined magazines there are different bundle loaders with infeed roller conveyors for bar bundles of up to a maximum of 5 tons as well as various flat and universal magazines for rectangular and profile materials or for the fully automatic processing of cutting orders of small to medium batch sizes. Several possibilities are available for the outfeed side starting with a combined outfeed sorting via plate band up to the robot supported sorting, commissioning and palletising system KASTOsort.
