Fellowship of the International Society for Condition Monitoring (ICSM) has been conferred upon David Stevens, technical manager & trainer at asset integrity specialists AV Technology (AVT) – one of only two members of the organisation to hold this distinction.

Adding to David’s fellowship of the Institute of Diagnostic Engineers, this latest award recognises his 25 years’ experience in condition monitoring and proven track record of capability in a senior management role. Following a mechanics apprenticeship with British Coal which progressed into a full-time condition management role, David’s career has spanned all facets of the industry from vibration monitoring and asset maintenance to his current role as technical manager and trainer. Now responsible for the mentoring and development of AVT maintenance engineers as well as its standard operating procedures, David also delivers external vibration monitoring training courses to customers in the oil and gas industry.

Commenting on his fellowship, David said: "While I take great pride in receiving a fellowship as a personal achievement, it also demonstrates to our customers that AVT is dedicated to best practice in condition monitoring and encourages its staff to strive for improvement. Constantly staying on top of changing methods, legislation and standards is something that we as a business are serious about in order to provide the best possible condition monitoring services for our customers."
