Compact system for component cleaning

14 March 2014

Being unveiled at MACH 2014 by UK agent, Kumi Solutions, the new energy-efficient Pero S1 compact system for component cleaning has been designed to degrease and clean a wide range of industrial parts and workpieces.

A sealed solvent cleaning system using hydrocarbons and modified alcohol, it is equipped with Pero’s high-performance vapour degreasing process technology. It is designed to provide a cost-effective solution for intermediate and final cleaning – an economical solution for degreasing, rinsing and cleaning components.

While the automatically loaded Pero R1 can clean up to 20 fully loaded baskets per hour, the manually-loaded compact Pero S1 occupies a smaller footprint and processes an impressive 12 baskets measuring 530 x 320 x 200 mm per hour. While full baskets weighing up to 80 kg can be loaded and unloaded directly into the cleaning chamber, both manual roller and automated conveyors can be fitted to aid handling.

Within the Pero S1 the initial vapour degreasing is an effective cleaning step. Solvent vapour condenses on the parts in the processing chamber and thoroughly removes oil, grease and other contaminants.

Optionally, ultrasonic cleaning can be specified which increases the mechanical cleaning effect. A push-pull oscillator is used for efficient transmission into the cleaning medium and vacuum technology further increases the effectiveness of the cleaning process.
