New demands on shaft couplings
24 March 2014
At Drives and Controls KTR Kupplungstechnik will address the contribution that shaft couplings can make to energy savings in industrial drive technology, along with the influence the increasing use of speed-controlled drives has on the development of shaft couplings.

For applications involving a speed-controlled drive it is important that the entire speed range is kept mainly free from resonances, which means vibration analysis is a vital consideration when selecting a suitable coupling.
KTR's torsionally flexible ROTEX jaw coupling dampens vibrations and shocks effectively while reliably compensating for axial, radial and angular displacements. Manufactured from T-PUR as standard, they offer a temperature range of -50 to + 120˚C.
Specifically for applications with variable speeds, the company also offers BoWex HEW Compact, which has a very high elasticity and almost linear damping characteristics in operation. Stand D130
