IE3 motors for oil mist units

01 May 2014

Demonstrating its commitment to both best practice and environmental responsibility, Filtermist, has announced that from 1st April onwards it will be using IE3 motors on its entire FX series of oil mist collection units.

Classed as Higher Efficiency Motors (HEM), IE3 units use less energy than IE1 and IE2 motors.

James Stansfield, MD, explains: "We wanted to offer our customers around the world the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are doing everything in their power to reduce energy consumption, and lower overheads by default.”

Filtermist has also decided to lower the kW rating for the FX4002 and FX5002 models and says energy savings of up to 17.2% can be achieved by using IE3 motors combined with lowering the kW rating, depending on the size of the unit.

Stansfield continues, "We are confident that our customers around the world will embrace the decision we have taken to introduce IE3 motors. Filtermist believes it is extremely important that manufacturers do everything in their power to make sure their products are as energy efficient as possible in order to reduce harmful environmental impacts and save their customers money.”
