Cargo operations enhanced
14 April 2015
When the reach stacker used by P&O Ferries for three Ro-Ro ferries at Gladstone dock in Bootle was nearing the end of its life, the ferry operator approached Kalmar for advice on a replacement truck. The materials handling equipment specialist recommended the Gloria RST.

Port manager, Charlie Worthington, says: "Kalmar understood our needs well. They believed in the product they were selling and had no qualms about its reliability. Since its delivery, the Gloria reach stacker has increased efficiency and productivity at Gladstone dock, boosting driver morale and engagement.
"The truck is much more manoeuvrable, and drivers get a boost from using it. We’ve provided them with better tools for the job; they’re happier, more engaged and do the work properly.”
