When injection moulding
manufacturer,McKechnie
Plastic Components
introduced tooling weighing
up to 12,000kg with a
footprint of 2m2, a new
handling solution was needed
to move the new equipment
and existing medium sized
tools between the production
area and tool room.
Following detailed discussions with the ROBUR technical team and Stanley Handling, a dedicated specification that would suit all McKechnie's tool sizes and permit access around the site's narrow gangways and restricted spaces was drawn up. The 12,000kg powered pallet truck was designed, manufactured and delivered in 16 weeks.
