The demand for hire and rent of movable air conditioners is seasonal with the demand starting as soon as the warm weather arrives during late April and May and peaking throughout the summer particularly when a heat wave has started over a weekend making offices unbearably hot during Monday when the temperature inside rises further.

Portable air conditioners work by taking the heat from a room and expelling it to the outside. In the simplest forms of mobile air conditioner units, the hot and damp air is extracted from the room and expelled through a tube.

In many cases, the "expelling tube” which is similar to a tumble dryer hose and is roughly 2m long, has to be vented to the outside, away from the portable air conditioner, ideally through a small hole made in the wall or window. As most requirements for hire is on a temporary and immediate need basis, a quick temporary solution to expelling this unwanted heat energy can be achieved by using a flattened oval adaptor that we can supply. The hose can be sent out of an open window or open door without the need for any installation work. In other instances, it might be possible to simply connect up the mobile air con unit to discharge the hot air through the ceiling.
