Surface defect imaging challenge at PPMA Show
29 July 2015
STEMMER IMAGING's novel Trevista Surface 50 inspection system is supplied with structured diffuse illumination, lens, software, PC and a 5 MPixel Genie TS camera from Teledyne DALSA.

Using a patented 'shape from shading' technology, information on the three-dimensional shape of an object can be deduced from the shading of its surfaces. This allows defects of just a few microns diameter and depth to be detected on a variety of material surfaces. Visitors PPMA can bring their own samples to put this to the test.
The package inspection demonstrator will illustrate a wide variety of inspection applications including OCR and print quality as well as 3D inspection using laser triangulation. It features cameras from a number of different suppliers, including Allied Vision, Teledyne DALSA and JAI.
Also on show will be a high speed imaging system which will show image sequences produced from a miniature roller coaster system. Stand A44
