Cleaning station
17 March 2016
Bridgewood UK uses vacuum forming, polyurethane reinforcement and composite moulding processes in conjunction with a range of materials to manufacture components and assemblies for different applications and markets.

The company wanted a safe and simple method to remove unwanted material from both product and from employee clothing in order to stop the cross-contamination of different plastics and colours.
It had tried various types of compressed air guns, nozzles and restrictors and but had been unable to find a solution that was safe yet powerful enough to remove the plastic swarf. Following an internet search, Air Control Industries' (ACI) JetBlack Cleaning Station was discovered.
Bridgewood's technical manager Iain Douglas said: “Within a week of initially contacting ACI by telephone, I was visited by their business development manager. I was given a quick demonstration of the unit and was left with a trial unit for a week."
Following the trial, the company placed an order for 11 JetBlack Cleaning Stations. These have been successfully installed and the company is now training all employees on the dangers of compressed air, and how to use the safe alternative that is the JetBlack.”
