Celebrating 10 years

17 May 2016

LED Eco Lights is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. The company was established in 2006, when LED was a new lighting buzzword, and success arrived early when it was named as LED Lighting Partner to the British Gas ‘Green Streets' initiative.

In the same year, the Co-Operative Food Group launched its stores ‘energy refit' programme, selecting the company's Goodlight LED Tubes into all cold-store and refrigeration areas nationally.

This success was followed in 2011 by the largest LED project of its time when 1400 Goodlight LED High Bays were installed at the British Airways World Cargo Centre at Heathrow.

During 2013, LED Eco Lights launched its 3-in-1 functional Goodlight 2D LED Lamp which won ‘Most Innovative Lighting Product'. The company also opened an office in the Middle East. This was followed by the completion of its 4000th LED installation and the introduction of two industrial products - the GX1 LED High Bay and the G360 LED SON Replacement.

In 2015, the company launched its Bright Goods LED filament lamp range. The wide selection of shapes including globes, pears, squirrel cages, candles, long tubes and traditional GLS bulbs, invoke nuances of Victorian nostalgia whilst offering 21st Century energy-saving benefits.

LED Eco Lights gained ISO 9001:2008 quality accreditation in August 2015 and launched its G5 Linear LED Luminaire as the modern solution to replace outdated fluorescent fixtures.

Another proud moment came in 2015 when the company was chosen as the only lighting supplier by producers of DIY SOS: The Big Build, Veterans Special.
