Chilled water metering
06 June 2016
Flexim Instruments provides critical chilled water flow measurement at Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire, the UK’s only synchrotron, which scientists use to study anything from fossils to jet engines to viruses and vaccines.

As part of a modernisation of systems engineering, carried out by BSRIA, six chilled water pipes were fitted with non-invasive Flexim Fluxus flowmeters to ensure the cooling systems are operated as efficiently as possible.
Since the clamp-on ultrasonic transducers are simply mounted on the outside of the pipeline, plant operation is not affected in any way during retrofitting.
