For challenging environments
13 July 2016
HBM has expanded its range of optical strain transducers, which has been specifically developed to meet the demanding requirements of harsh applications.

Suitable for use in challenging environments, such as structure monitoring of pipelines and bridges and for measuring high strains, the latest range of sensors from HBM offers a wider strain measurement range, alongside greater stability and lower installation costs, compared to electrical strain gauges.
Featuring a rugged and flexible design, the latest innovative range of strain gauges from HBM features steel-reinforced fibre cables and special strain relief and can be used for strains of at least ±2000µm/m in a temperature range from -40 to +80°C.
