Grinding wheels in storage boxes

23 November 2016

A new range of MASTER vitrified bonded conventional grinding wheels has been launched by Master Abrasives.

The wheels are supplied in individual storage boxes with plastic bushes to reduce bore size according to requirements. Master Abrasives has targeted this versatile range at small tool rooms and precision engineers looking for high quality solutions to their grinding applications.

The wheels are available from stock in four different abrasive types to suit differing application requirements. The 30% ceramic abrasive mix grit wheel is tough and durable, providing a long and productive life in various applications on tough-to-grind materials. The white aluminium oxide specification is suitable for general purpose grinding, free cutting with high friability. Pink aluminium oxide grades are cool-cutting and retain form well, making them suitable for applications where protecting components from thermal damage is important, but a degree of toughness is required. The wheels are also available in silicon carbide abrasive which is harder and more friable than aluminium oxide abrasives, making the wheels well-suited for grinding carbide or ceramic components.

Each wheel is presented in a convenient storage box which contains a set of plastic bushes to reduce the standard 31.75mm bore size down to 25.4mm, 19.05mm, 15.8mm or 12.7mm according to requirements. All wheels are available from stock in 150mm, 180mm or 200mm diameter in 60 grit. Some of the wheels are also available in 40 grit; other sizes and grades are available upon request.
