Complies with emissions legislation
02 October 2017
Jetchem Systems, the Lancashire based manufacturer and hirer of high pressure water jetting equipment, has opted to use the Hatz 4H50 engine to power their Sprint 120 model.

After considering a number of options, Jetchem chose the 4H50 principally because of its weight to power ratio together with its compliance with current and proposed emissions legislation.
The Sprint 120 is a high pressure water jetting unit, mounted on a single axle trailer incorporating a 120 gallon water storage tank. It features a low maintenance triplex plunger pump, all enclosed under a canopy. For ease of operation the Sprint 120 has a rear mounted hydraulic powered hose reel and large capacity fuel and hydraulic tanks, with each fitted with a sight level gauge.
The 4H50 is 2-litre engine fitted with a turbocharged intercooler. With a total weight of just 173kg and producing a maximum powered output of 55kW, Hatz believes that this combination makes the 4H50 the most compact and lightweight in its class. The 4H50 engine already meets the strict exhaust emission limits of EU 97/68 Stage IIIB and EPA Tier 4 final. The H series does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in order to fulfill these stringent emissions regulations.
