Waring has enjoyed 34 years in the welding industry, starting out as a metalsmith/welder with the British Army before moving into technical sales and regional business manager roles for Thermadyne, Victor and Esab, covering the Ireland, UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa.

He rejoins the Wilkinson Group after 23 years, having worked at Wilkinson Welding as a technical sales representative in the early 1990s.

Chairman, Dr John A. Wilkinson OBE, says: "Steve joins Star at a very exciting time as we see sales growth year-on-year being maintained. During 48 years in business I have only re-employed a handful of former employees, who I refer to as very special people and Steve undoubtedly fits that criteria.’
