Discharges and mixes
12 February 2019
Safely discharging the contents of a 200L drum whilst ensuring its contents are thoroughly mixed, would once have necessitated a pump and separate mixer or agitator and two people. The Graco Twistork Agitator offers an alternative.

A Graco Husky air-operated double diaphragm pump provides the suction that discharges the drum via an integrated air motor driven hollow helix vacuum shaft which agitates the material and guarantees product consistency. The entire assembly simply screws directly into the standard barrel bung thread of a 200L drum.
The shaft extends down to the bottom of the drum which means that there is no product wastage and the relatively light weight of the Twistork Agitator means that installation and removal is a job for one person. All that is needed is an air supply.
The Twistork Agitator is suitable for low and medium viscosity materials and is ATEX certified. Thorite has further details.
