Cooling solutions
08 January 2019
Warehouses and manufacturing facilities have specific cooling needs – particularly spaces with mezzanines and/or high levels of insulation. EcoCooling says that, while refrigeration systems are considered uneconomical for large spaces, direct evaporative cooling offers a cost effective, reliable alternative, and has the option of ‘spot cooling’ to protect particular areas/machines.

EcoCooling uses direct evaporative cooling in its products and systems. It says that these use up to 90% less energy and run at less than 10% opex in comparison to refrigerated air conditioning. Its solutions are simple, safe and efficient right from setup, and are completed by local authorised installers with no downtime for the business.
Supplier to Jaguar, GSM Automotive was considering using air conditioning to cool its Becon facility. EcoCooling says that trying to cool such a large area with air conditioning would have cost more than £3266/annum. EcoCoolers cost less than £195/annum to run. In addition to the cost saving, the environmentally friendly solution reduces the company’s carbon footprint.
