LAPP expands industrial connectivity solutions for next-generation automated plants
27 May 2026
AS INDUSTRIAL facilities become increasingly automated, connected and data-driven, reliable connectivity infrastructure is playing a central role in plant performance and operational continuity. Responding to these evolving industrial requirements, German connectivity specialist LAPP is expanding its portfolio with a new generation of solutions designed for automation, robotics and demanding industrial environments.

The company is developing hybrid cabling systems combining power and data transmission, alongside high-flex robotic cables and pre-assembled connection solutions aimed at simplifying installation and improving operational reliability across industrial plants.
Among the latest developments is the ÖLFLEX ROBOT range, specifically engineered for dynamic robotic applications involving continuous torsion and complex 3D movement. Designed for harsh industrial conditions, some variants can withstand up to two million bending and torsion cycles while ensuring stable signal transmission even in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference.
LAPP is also introducing the ÖLFLEX SERVO FD 797 CP cable for cable-chain applications subject to high mechanical stress. Its redesigned inner sheath allows significantly faster and more precise cable preparation, helping manufacturers optimise installation and maintenance operations.
To support industrial networking infrastructures, the company is expanding its ETHERLINE portfolio with ACCESS U Entry Level unmanaged Ethernet switches. Available in Fast Ethernet and Gigabit versions, these fanless and maintenance-free switches provide a robust and cost-effective solution for industrial communication networks.
LAPP says global demand remains particularly strong in sectors such as automation, intralogistics, energy infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. The group generated consolidated sales of €1.93bn in fiscal year 2025 and continues to invest heavily in industrial production capabilities and connectivity technologies worldwide.
With operations in more than 80 countries and over 50,000 product references, LAPP continues to strengthen its position as a global supplier of industrial connectivity solutions for modern production and process environments.
