Lütze Group acquired by Amphenol

21 February 2025

FOLLOWING ITS acquisition by the US-based Amphenol Corporation, railway and automation specialist Lütze Group is planning for further growth and expansion.

Automation specialist Friedrich Lütze, the railway technology company Lütze Transportation and all other companies of the international Lütze Group in Europe and China have been taken over by the US Amphenol Corporation from 1 October 2024. The US members of the Lütze Group, Lutze Inc. and Data Guide Cable Corporation, were already successfully acquired in July 2024.

Friedrich Lütze founded the company in 1958, and the generational change took place in 2006 with Udo Lütze at the top. Since then, Lütze has developed into a technology leader, particularly in parts of railway technology as well as in energy-efficient wiring in control cabinets and intelligent power monitoring.

"With the recent inclusion in the Amphenol Group corporate family, a third change is taking place with the aim of further growth in the areas mentioned and beyond," said Udo Lütze, CEO of the Lütze International Group.

There are no changes for the customers and business partners. The usual flexibility and customer proximity remain the same. The previous contacts as well as the known company and production sites including the company headquarters in Weinstadt will remain unchanged.

Martin Teufel, CEO of Friedrich Lütze will retire by Q1 2025. Dimitrios Koutrouvis, currently CEO of Lütze Transportation, will take over the responsibility for Friedrich Lütze within the transition period, under the supervision of Teufel.

Q&A areas have been set up on the Lütze company pages to answer the most important questions.
