International engineering excellence coming to Farnborough in February

14 December 2023

SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING and Electronics 2024, the most comprehensive annual industrial exhibition in the UK and a major pan-European showcase for new technology, opens at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre from 6-8 February.

Covering mechanical engineering and the electrical / electronic sector in equal measure, the show is a must-attend event for anyone involved in design, production, procurement or management.

It is the place to see all the latest in machine tools, tooling, workholding and other production hardware including 3D printing machines and consumables, business and manufacturing software, automation and robotics, test, measurement, inspection and metrology, mechanical and electrical components and assemblies, SMT technology, PCB and box build, cables, connectors, and much else.

There will be plastic injection and rubber mouldings, sensors, drives, encoders, HMIs, fasteners, pressings, wireforms, springs and gaskets. Materials supply and subcontract manufacturing services are also well represented. Automation on both the mechanical engineering and electronics sides will feature strongly, driven by a skills shortage in Britain and across Europe.

Alongside the exhibition and demonstration areas, there will be free technical seminars giving visitors and exhibitors alike valuable learning opportunities, with a particular focus on the technical, managerial and environmental issues facing manufacturers today. The show co-locates with AutoAero, a specialist theme devoted to automotive and aerospace engineering. Car parking and entry are free and there is a complimentary bus shuttle running between Farnborough’s Main and North Camp railway stations and the showground.
