Waterloo: Working hard to support construction and the UK economy

04 June 2020

The Waterloo Air Products' team has adapted working procedures to keep personnel safe, whilst continuing to support customers – taking orders, manufacturing, and delivering products where customer sites remain open.

The company, which has ensured that it is properly following government guidelines, was heartened when Alok Sharma, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, issued a letter in early April paying tribute to manufacturing industry for the valuable and vital work being done to keep the UK economy going.

Version 3 of the Site Operating Procedures has been released by the Construction Leadership Council to give guidance on rules when it is not possible to maintain a 2m distance to allow continued operating under certain conditions.

Waterloo comments that, where its customers have had to close sites because they cannot operate within this guidance, it is collaborating with them to plan to manufacture and store finished products to support a faster start up when sites re-open.

Currently there are no increases in product lead times and its logistics network is delivering its standard next day service.

The company is ready to help with specifications, quotes, orders or general product questions and suggests, if you have any pending orders, that you finalise the details as soon as possible so that production capacity and raw material can be allocated.
