Embedded vision development made easier

Embedded vision systems manufacturer Vision Components has added a new starter pack to its MIPI product range. Users can simply connect the camera module and MIPI cable to their NDIDIA Jetson Nano compact computer, in order to be ready to start application development.
Additional accessories include the necessary computer driver, and customers can also choose their preferred sensor from what Vision Components describes as the largest available range of machine vision sensors with a MIPI interface. Currently, sensor resolutions up to 20 megapixels are available.
The starter pack also includes a lens holder (C/CS-mount or S-mount) and a shielded 200mm FPC cable, which the company developed specifically for the MIPI camera modules, to ensure noise-free data transmission and high bandwidths. The German company provides the driver and source code free of charge, so users can make their own adjustments.
Vision Components says the MIPI starter pack, together with the NVIDIA Jetson Nano, is ideal for vision applications such as image classification and object detection.
