24 July 2018
Chicago Pneumatic continues its innovation with the new range of Composite drills. The range covers ¼”, 3/8” and ½” with speeds from 600rpm to 3,300 rpm depending on model selection.

For example: The CP9789C Pistol Grip ½” reversible 600rpm, the CP887C In Line 3/8” reversible 2,100 rpm or the CP879C Angle drill 3/8” reversible 2000 rpm. These powerful drills with the ½” and 3/8” delivering 0.5hp and ¼” delivering 0.3hp are very efficient.
In line with their design philosophy they offer high quality components, as can be seen by the offering as standard with either keyed or keyless Jacobs chucks to provide exceptional grip of the working drill bit offering precise drilling performance.
They view operator comfort as essential when using their tools and the range has thermoplastic rubber handles to provide a firm and satisfying comfort grip when used. All models also feature the Chicago pneumatic Ergo Wing design to ensure the operators wrist and hand are aligned for the best transmission of force as it helps guide the user’s forefinger for greater position and precision.
The ergonomic design has the reverse lever located on top making it easy to operate forward and reverse with easy to operate forward and reverse to facilitate drilling or reaming. They also have a directional exhaust that steers the exhaust air away from the users face during operation.
Whatever the choice these compact and precise light weight drills are ideal for the limited access applications in the MRO industry.
