Aerospace accreditation
26 July 2018
Industria Bearings & Transmissions (IBTL) has achieved the new aerospace accreditation which is internationally recognised for the products and services provided to customers.

The company has met the requirements of AS EN 9120 Bureau Veritas Certification, which verifies that all Quality Management Systems conform to both BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9120:2016.
This latest version of the standard encompasses the supply of bearings and associated parts for use in aerospace manufacture. Importantly, lot traceability is included and this is said to underline IBTL’s status as an authorised master distributor and stockist of bearings, transmission chains, engineering plastics and adhesives.
Roy Thomason, managing director for Industria Bearings & Transmissions, said: “We achieved the previous standard in early 2017 and have now recently undergone the required assessment which has resulted in us receiving the latest version. Our aerospace customers can continue to have complete confidence in our procedures and services and, the full traceability of products and any associated parts.
“As before, all our processes and systems were fully scrutinised by the audit process of Bureau Veritas. Meeting the required criteria meant a great deal of hard work and dedication by our team, which led to us achieving the standard.
“This latest version of the accreditation reaffirms the quality of our products and systems while demonstrating our continued commitment to delivering the best possible goods and services to our aerospace customers, both here in the UK and across the globe.”
