At the Pump Industry Awards 2009 ABB became the first company to be awarded 'Supplier of the Year' for the third year in a row.

Steve Ruddell, general manager of drives and motors, ABB, says "We now have the broadest variable speed drive and electric motor ranges of any manufacturer. Our drives series, for example, is no older than two years. And last year we launched a variable speed drive dedicated to pumping applications which shows our commitment to the interests of pump users." Ruddell says he believes ABB Drives Alliance and ABB Motors Service Partners played a major part in winning the award.
