The Government is encouraging the
use of green technology by setting up
tax incentive schemes for companies
who purchase qualifying
equipment. The initiative
encourages the use of
environmentally friendly
cleaning machines and in
particular water efficient
scrubber driers, encouraging
businesses to invest in water
saving technology. Nilfisk has
been working with ICCMA and
DEFRA to define the scheme.
The ECA scheme (enhanced capital allowance) allows businesses to claim the whole cost of the qualifying equipment against corporation tax in the first year. For larger Companies this allows them to save 28% in the form of a tax allowance.
Qualifying machines are listed, by model, on the Water Technology List (WTL) and the manufacturers entitled to use the WTL logo where appropriate.
The Nilfisk group claims to have the greatest amount of water efficient scrubber driers approved on the Water Technology List.
