High speed scrubbing

The new SC6000 is a next generation, battery-operated scrubber dryer designed for large indoor areas. Total cost of ownership was key to product development, enabling high speed scrubbing and drying with ultra-low levels of water, detergent and power.

Consultant Cleaners is part of the Consultant Services Group, a family run business founded in 1969, who provide services across the UK including cleaning, catering, vending and Facilities Management.

Sarah Bolam, sales manager for Consultant Cleaners outlined the pre and post sales situation at the Faerch site: "The Faerch Plast manufacturing site is a new contract for us and we were obviously keen to make a difference to this large facility which includes 150,000ft2 of white painted concrete floors. The nature of the business obviously makes facility cleanliness paramount.

"The floors were previously cleaned with a breakdown-prone six year old machine that frequently left streaks that needed to be mopped. After three weeks of using the SC6000 the floors were much brighter and cleaner than before and the client was delighted.

"Our team on site were noticeably lifted by the performance of the Nilfisk scrubber dryer and really enjoy using the machine which is very easy to operate. All team members received certified training from a Nilfisk representative and the trainer made sure everyone was really confident before he left us. Ongoing support has been first class too.

"Overall I give the machine 10 out of 10. It makes our lives so much easier and the results have been excellent. The entire team agree that it’s a well-made and very effective machine.’

The SC6000 is available in three battery operated versions with brush deck options for 86, 91 and 105cm.

With a solution and recovery tank of 190L and with limited use of water and detergent the requirement for dump and refills is much reduced. Productivity is therefore very good.

The unit features the SmartFlow function which automatically adjusts the solution flow according to the travel speed of the machine. Additional savings can be made to water, detergent and power if the client opts for the EcoflexTM system.

The SC6000 includes an embedded diagnostic system and features easy and fast access for service and maintenance. Tools are not required for most operations including changing the squeegee and replacing scrubbing brushes.
